4 cylinder motor original 99,000 miles. I bought this to restore and now do not have the time as bought another house and will be moving so just want it gone. When I got this about two years ago it started and drove and shifted well. Person before me did some restoration and so did I.
Some rust but overall great condition on body for this year. Person before me replaced: Clutch, brakes, tune up, fancy Ford wheels and tires. I replaced the water pump, hoses, thermostat, and radiator.
No heater, taken out and disconnected. No radio. Gas gauge sometimes works but have complete sending unit to install. Have some spare junk yard parts also. Needs new steering column switch which I have. Clutch rod adjusting head missing but I have the part. No muffler. When I got this it started right up and ran really smooth. I drove it back and forth in my .2 mile long driveway and all the gears work well. But it then sat for a couple of years & the points oxidized. After cleaning those, it needed a new battery. Just put a new battery in but did not start it yet. Starter freezes up if sitting for long periods and have to rock truck back and forth in gear to free starter. So now it has sat longer and the brake fluid leaked out of the rear and one wheel is frozen so this needs a cylinder and new brakes no doubt at least on that side. Great truck for preppers. NO electronics to overload in case of electromagnetic pulse. I will trade this for antiques, arms, scooter, bike, or boat. As I said, no more time to fool with it as I am moving so MUST get rid of it, just want it gone for BEST REASONABLE OFFER but bed alone is worth a bit just as a part. I may be able to get this delivered to you also. Phone .
